Lease Insurance District Office Space

The Insurance District is located on the east side of the Financial District, generally between Maiden Lane and the Brooklyn Bridge approach.

The Insurance District used to be the location of all the major insurance companies in New York, but recently like the rest of the financial district, vacancy rates have caused many towers to be converted to apartments and dormitories. However, reduced rates and subsidies make this area appealing to many large office firms, and its new residential character is bringing vibrancy to the neighborhood. The area also includes the South Street Seaport Shops, which is a very nice small shopping complex on the tip of Manhattan.
