The Villard Houses, located on Madison Avenue between 50th and 51st streets, are a set of historic residences in Midtown Manhattan. Commissioned by Henry Villard in the late 19th century, these buildings were designed by McKim, Mead & White in the Roman High Renaissance style. The complex was originally intended as six separate residences surrounding a central courtyard, with the design inspired by Bavarian palaces.
