The Aguilar Branch of the New York Public Library, located at 174 East 110th Street in Manhattan, NYC, was constructed between 1904 and 1905. It is the tenth Carnegie branch library built in Manhattan and the thirteenth in the city. Designed by the architectural firm Herts & Tallant, known primarily for their work on theaters, the library features a Classical Revival style with a steel frame, Maine granite foundation, Indiana limestone walls, and terra cotta ornamentation.

The building was originally the Aguilar Free Library, established in 1886 to serve poorer Jewish immigrants. It was renovated and expanded after consolidating with the New York Public Library in 1903, using funds from Andrew Carnegie. The library was designated an individual New York City landmark in 1996.

Today, the Aguilar Branch continues to serve the community with a three-story structure offering unlimited WiFi and public computers. The library is temporarily closed for building improvements.
