The Central Park View Apartments, located at 415 Central Park West, were designed by Deutsch & Schneider in the neo-Regency style and opened in 1926. The building is situated on the northwest corner of Central Park West and 101st Street.

Originally, the building was a 16-floor structure with a penthouse, featuring a three-story base anchored by limestone corners and a double-height entrance with neo-Classical urns. The mid-section was faced in red Flemish-bond brick, with faux balconies and stone surrounds at the higher floors.

The apartments offered a range of layouts, including four-room suites and six- or seven-room apartments with multiple baths. Amenities included lighted closets, hardwood floors in a herringbone design, and individual electric refrigeration in each kitchen.

Notable residents have included Lorenz Hart, Peter Arno, Abbey Lincoln, Nina Simone, and Robert E. Margroff, among others. The building is now a seventeen-story cooperative offering studios to four-bedroom homes.
