Buildings for Sale:

  1. The Archdiocese of New York is selling the Roman Catholic Church of Holy Name of Jesus and Saint Gregory the Great on the Upper West Side for $96 million to Rockefeller Group and Atlas Capital Group, which will partially convert it into housing under the 485x tax abatement program.
  2. A court ordered Maverick Real Estate Partners to pause a potential foreclosure. The borrower, connected to the Schwalbe family, accused Maverick of "vulturous tactics" by taking a fee for a loan extension and then refusing to honor the agreement. The dispute is over the Gorham Building at 390 Fifth Avenue.
  3. Empire State Realty Trust listed its 540,000-square-foot office building at 250 West 57th Street, located on Billionaires Row, for an estimated sale price of $350 million.
  4.   1. Carlyle's sale of a 15-property New York self-storage portfolio for $1.03 billion involved a sovereign wealth fund. The unidentified fund took a majority stake (roughly 80 percent) in the acquisition, with StorageMart holding the remaining 20 percent.
  2. Carmel Partners purchased a piece of a $500 million UWS apartment portfolio.
