107 Grand Street is a historic commercial building located in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Originally constructed in 1881, the building has undergone significant changes over its lifetime.
In 1899, three bays were added to the west side of the building, expanding its footprint. Later, in 1906, two additional stories were added, increasing its height and capacity. The building features cast iron elements crafted by Heurelmann & Co. Iron Works, characteristic of the SoHo-Cast Iron Historic District to which it belongs.
The building was designed by architect Thomas Stent and built by Marc Eidlitz, notable figures in New York City's architectural history. It was originally developed by William Astor and intended for commercial use with retail stores on the lower floors.
