125 Park Avenue, also known as the Pershing Square Building, is a 25-story office building located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. It is situated on Park Avenue between 41st and 42nd Streets, directly across from Grand Central Terminal.
Designed in the Romanesque Revival style by the firms of Sloan & Robertson and York & Sawyer, the building was completed in 1923. It was the last major tall office building in Pre-War New York City to be designed without the setbacks required by the 1916 Zoning Ordinance.
The building's design features a U-shaped tower above a seven-story base, with decorative arches on the lower floors. It was constructed on the site of the former Grand Union Hotel, which was demolished to make way for the building and the Grand Central–42nd Street subway station.
