The Baudouine Building, located at 1181-1183 Broadway at the corner of West 28th Street in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was constructed between 1895 and 1896. This historic structure replaced an old hotel known as the Brower House and was designed by architect Alfred Zucker in the Classical Revival style. The building's design features a steel and iron framework clothed in sandy-colored brick and terra-cotta, sitting atop a rusticated two-story base of limestone. It has been part of the Madison Square North Historic District since 2001. Initially, it served as a store and office tower, with the Charles A. Baudouine Realty Company as one of its first tenants. Over the years, it housed various firms, including apparel and toy companies.

A significant event occurred in 1979 when a gas explosion injured five people in a novelty store at street level. Despite alterations at street level, the building's upper structure remains intact. The rooftop temple has become a residential space, highlighting the building's unique architectural features.
