48 Wall Street, formerly the Bank of New York & Trust Company Building, is a 32-story, 512-foot-tall skyscraper located at the corner of Wall Street and William Street in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan, New York City.

Construction began in 1927 and was completed in 1929. The building was designed by Benjamin Wistar Morris in the Neo-Georgian and Colonial Revival styles. It is the third structure to be built on this site, following previous Bank of New York buildings erected in 1797 and 1858.

The building features a grand banking hall with murals by J. Monroe Hewlett and a copper eagle atop a Federal-style cupola. It was designated a city landmark in 1998 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. The Bank of New York occupied the site until 1998, after which it underwent significant renovations.

Today, 48 Wall Street is part of the Wall Street Historic District and continues to be an important part of New York City's financial history.
